Looking to run without the crazy crowds and loud music?

For our latest Races of Gametiime feature we’re showcasing a brand new race hosted in the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley!  Here’s our interview with race directors, Roger Michel and Porter Bratten, who want all of you to know about this flat, fast, and 100% Pacific Northwest race!

Tell us about the Snoqualmie Valley Half Marathon & 10K. What, when and where is it? It’s on Saturday, June 21st, and starts by the Red Barn at Tolt-MacDonald Park, at 1404881_1406974069550482_1695042501_othe civilized time of 9am!

What can participants expect to see and do? A flat and fast PNW course on smooth gravel but through old-growth forests and past farmland on an old railroad trail link through the Snoqualmie Valley.

What do you consider to be the best part about the Snoqualmie Valley Half Marathon & 10K? The flat course, the beautiful trail and 100% the finish at Tolt-MacDonald Park, it does not get any better than that!

How many participants do you expect for the race? About 800 to 1000

1920516_1419863028261586_1487157030_nHow long has the Snoqualmie Valley Half Marathon & 10K been around? It’s the first annual, and we are very excited to bring this beautiful run to life. A lot of people are familiar with the trail from running out there on their own, and it’s going to be great to bring a run to the trail. The City of Carnation has been incredibly welcoming.

Does the Snoqualmie Valley Half Marathon & 10K benefit any charitable organizations? If so, which ones? Yes, it will. Since its a 1st annual race we have not chosen it yet, but we are working on this and it will have one!

Do you organize other events as well? If so, which ones? We are involved in many other events such as the Mustache Dache, Snohomish River Run, Lake Sammamish Half, and Evergreen Trail Run series.

Anything else you’d like to share with the Gametiime community? This is a great value race, with beautiful views and a great finish area where we will have music, a beer garden and much more… bring your family!
