Gametiime Athletes: Ryan Anke, Karen Gates & her son, Jon Tam, Robyn Wilson
Race: Alki Beach 5K Walk & Run presented by Sound Orthodontics (Seattle, WA)
Race Description: Enjoy the sights & sounds of Alki Beach & the West Seattle waterfront on this 5k route from the Statue of Liberty at Alki Beach Park & the historic Bathhouse, along the waterfront to Anchor Park & back.

Gametiime Athlete Highlights:

  • We all got to meet and chat briefly with the ever-inspirational Warrior Marathon Runner, Carol Dellinger — a lifetime finisher of 269 marathons and 3-year breast cancer survivor!
  • Robyn was the 8th place female finisher for this race!
  • Ryan was previously featured in Faces of Gametiime.

Race: Ben Bridge Seattle Ring Dash (Seattle, WA)
Race Description: On Saturday, August 24th, Ben Bridge Jeweler is giving away a $12,000 Ikuma diamond ring. The Ben Bridge Ring Dash is a FREE, interactive text message based adventure through downtown Seattle where participants follow hints and clues to uncover a $12,000 Ikuma diamond ring and other great prizes. All you need to participate is a partner, a cell phone, and your running shoes for your chance to win!!!


Gametiime Athlete: Robyn Wilson
Race: Bishop Blanchet High School Brave 5K (Seattle, WA)
Race Description: The Brave 5k is the third annual family fun run in support of the Bishop Blanchet High School cross country and track and field teams. The 5k race is run on the Lower Woodland cross country course, the historic home course for Bishop Blanchet High School. The starting line and registration area will be located between the central baseball fields and soccer field #2, next to the skate park and directly across the street from the intersection of Green Lake Way and North 54th Street.

Gametiime Athlete Highlights:

  • Robyn finished as the 3rd place female finisher for this race and won a $50 gift certificate to Super Jock ‘n’ Jill in Greenlake!

Gametiime Athlete: Jeannie Gilbert, Lonnie St. John, and their HTC teams
Race: Hood To Coast Relay (Portland, OR)
Race Description: Hood To Coast is the Largest Relay in the world!

  • DATES: August 23 & 24, 2013
  • TOTAL TEAMS: 1,050 teams of 12 runners (min. 8)
  • RACE COURSE: Hood To Coast is 198 miles long.
  • TOTAL PARTICIPANTS: The 2013 event will include 12,600 runners and 3,600 volunteers
  • ORIGIN: HTC began in 1982 with 8 teams and has filled the team cap on the opening day of registration for the last 15 years straight!

Gametiime Athletes: Imei Hsu
Race: Lake Sammamish Triathlon (Issaquah, WA)
Race Description: Join us at beautiful Lake Sammamish State Park for this great event. Take advantage of the 400M rectangular swim and then a fast 14 mile out and back ride along Lake Sammamish Parkway. You’ll finish with a 3.2 mile run through the park along Issaquah Creek.

Gametiime Athlete Highlights:

  • This was Imei’s first official triathlon event! Despite getting flat during the bike ride, she still finished strong in earning her first triathlon medal. Here is her race report.

Rebecca Pattee, Robyn Wilson
Race: Redmond’s Great Day of Play 5K Run/Walk (Redmond, WA)
Race Description: Join us for our 3rd year with a new course! Redmond’s Great Day of play is a family friendly 5K run/walk perfect for beginners and seasoned runners. The race will be chip-timed and there will be awards for top overall Male/Female as well as age group awards for 1st place.

Gametiime Athlete Highlights:

  • Robyn finished as one of the top ten female finishers for this race! (And, yes, you’ve seen here a lot in this #Gametiime Weekend Collection. She ran a trifecta this weekend with three different races around the Greater Seattle area!)
  • Rebecca finished the race with a 5K PR!

Gametiime Athletes: Tonja Davis
Race: Run For Your Lives 5K Zombie Race – Seattle (Olympia, WA)
Race Description: THE ORIGINAL ZOMBIE INFESTED 5K OBSTACLE COURSE RACE

Anyone can run. But everything changes when you’re running for your life. Test your speed, strength and endurance through miles of man-made and natural obstacles—all while being chased by hungry, merciless zombies.

This obstacle course race is like nothing you’ve ever experienced before. And hopefully, it won’t be your last. Waiting at the end of this zombie infected 5k—aside from a possible brain craving—is an apocalypse party to die for. Celebrate your survival or imminent zombie transformation at this one-of-a-kind festival complete with food, live bands, a DJ, and of course beer.

Gametiime Athlete Highlights:

  • Tonja, despite an ankle injury, escaped the wrath of the Run for Your Lives zombie and won a finisher’s medal!

Gametiime Athlete: Tara Mitchell, Bethany Nicklas, Wendy Watkins
Race: Seattle Marathon – 10K Run / Walk (Seattle, WA)
Race Description: Held on Saturday, August 24th, this is the summer 10K race you’ve been waiting for. This year’s summer 10K Race will start and end at Gas Works Park and will use Ballard and Wallingford streets, as well as the Burke-Gilman Trail. This beautiful and iconic location and neighborhood route will be a great new change for our growing race!

  • Tara (compliments of a her mom) featured this great video recap of the race on her running blog. It was so cool, we have to repost! :)
