Race: Athleta Iron Girl (Seattle, WA)
Race Description: The Iron Girl event experience provides women with the perfect platform for first timers and experienced athletes to reach 
their personal bests.

Iron Girl empowers you to discover a personal best, embrace your strength and celebrate accomplishment in a supportive community of women that will cheer you on. The race is what you make it – whether your first or 100th, there is a place for you at Iron Girl.

  • This was Kari’s first triathlon! Here is her race report.

Race: Beaver Lake Triathlon (Sammamish, WA)
Race Description:
Enjoy a half day in the wooded beauty & serenity of Beaver Lake Park. The 20th Annual BLT starts, has all it’s transitions and finishes at the Park. It includes a 1/4-Mile Swim, 13.8-Mile Bike, & 4.3-Mile Run. The event includes the very elite, the weekend warrior, as well as many first timers! But make sure you register early as space is limited to the first 600 registrants!

Gametiime Athlete Highlights:

  • Imei completed her first triathlon and did so with flying colors, finishing in 2nd place for the two-person triathlon relay. Here’s her race report.
  • Tara completed her first triathlon in quite some time, re-caught the triathlon bug, and celebrated a happy 25th birthday at the race. Check out her race report.

Race: Electric Run – Seattle (Puyallup, WA)
Race Description: A 5k run/walk that is as much show as it is run. Electric Run™ is a 5k run, a show, participation art, and celebration of life. Incredibly talented artists and lighting technicians with experience creating beautiful art and light at Coachella, Dreamworks Animations, Disney, and some of Vegas’ hottest shows have come together to create a world that will fill you with wonder.

Gametiime Athletes: Louise Cunningham, Tan Ong, Derek & Sarah Wang
Race: Lake Union 10K (Seattle, WA)
Race Description: Join 5focus for the
fifth annual Lake Union 10K run or walk along the Cheshiahud Lake
Union Loop Trail
. Race starts and finishes in Lake Union Park (new venue for 2012!). The race raises funds to support “Girls on the Run” of Puget Sound. Whether you’re a runner looking for an ideal mid-distance race, or a walker ready to explore the lake on foot, join us to enjoy over- the-top event support, great views along the trail and a celebration of the rich history of Lake Union. Enjoy a gourmet pancake breakfast after the race provided by Portage Bay Cafe.

Gametiime Athlete Highlights:

  • Louise finished with a 6-minute PR for the 10K!

Gametiime Athletes: The “Girls Just Wanna Run” ultra relay championship team: Kaitlyn Aliota, Robyn Broker, Amy Danberg, Tasha Malcolm, Jordanne Nevin, and Rose Thompson
Race: Spokane to Sandpoint Team Relay (Spokane, WA)
Race Description: The 200 mile Spokane to Sandpoint Relay (S2S) begins atop picturesque Mt. Spokane and winds through 50 miles of world class Centennial Trail, along 60 miles of property adjacent to waterfront, and meanders through two National Forests en route to the finish line at the beach in beautiful Sandpoint, Idaho.

S2S has quickly become one of the Pacific Northwest’s premier running events. In 2013 we’ve added a 139 mile Walk Relay, beginning at Mirabeau Meadows Park and finishing with the runners in Sandpoint! The S2S race supports runners and walkers of every level with standard teams of 8-12 runners or walkers, ultra teams of 4-6 or super-ultra with less than 4 runners.

Gametiime Athlete Highlights:

  • Kaitlyn, Robyn, Amy, Tasha, Jordanne, and Rose took home first place for the female ultra division! You can find Tasha’s race report here.

Gametiime Athlete: Erik Butler
Wild Hare Sprint Tri (Allyn, WA)
Race Desciption: West Sound Triathon Club (WSTC) Wild Hare Triathlon: Sprint Triathlon and Picnic – WSTC August Monthly Meeting. Held on Saturday, August 10th at Lakeland Village Community Park, Allyn WA. Start time is 8 AM, .5 mile swim, 15.8 mile bike, 3.4 mile run. Must be a WSTC Member to participate.
