Gametiime Athletes: Jeannie Gilbert
Race: SCOTT Cougar Mountain Trail Run Series (Renton, WA)
Race Description: Our first run of the series kicked off on May with a 5-mile event. Aftering increasing the mileage of each event throughout the summer, the Cougar Mountain Trail Series concludes in October with a 20-mile/50K event. Saturday, August 10, 2013, 8:30 a.m.
Just 15 minutes from Seattle, King County’s Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park is one of the most popular training grounds for area trail runners and the Seattle Running Club. The course builds on itself throughout the series and brings runners through a lush forest of fern-lined single-track trails, over hills and along marshes and wetland habitats. This is a great series to supplement the training regime for a fall marathon or ultra. Cougar Mountain features rolling hills, a few moderate climbs and a few steep but short inclines.
- Just two weeks removed from finishing her first full Ironman triathon, Jeannie finished in 4th place for her AG.
- Jeannie was previously featured in Faces of Gametiime.
