#Gametiime Weekend Collection (7/27 – 7/28/13)

This past week, we had a new idea…

Through social media, we constantly hear story after story of your awesome race experiences and inspiring accomplishments. This is one of the many things making the Gametiime community special. We wanted to showcase this.

To help make this happen, we asked you to do two simple things:

1. Post a race pic through Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
2. Hashtag your picture with #Gametiime.

The result? Awesome pictures from four different races this weekend… telling the stories of you, the local runners and triathletes who make up the Gametiime community.

Here are the amazing people that make up the first #Gametiime Weekend Collection. Enjoy and we look forward to seeing your race pics in the future!

unmatched, as they swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles and run 26.2 miles through beautiful Sonoma County’s wine country.

Gametiime Athlete Highlights:

  • This was Jeannie’s first full Ironman triathlon. 140.6 miles in total!

Gametiime Athlete: Jonathan Kaylor
Race: Lacamas Lake Half Marathon (Camas, WA)
Race Description: This is the 10th year for the Lacamas Lake Half Marathon Event! This year, the start and finish will be in downtown Camas the day following the big Camas Twitter - pdxplorerDay’s Celebration. The beautiful and quaint downtown provides the perfect setting for this event. You’ll love it! The course will have a hill at the start and then it’s flat running to the lake. The moderately challenging course picks up with the old course in that you’ll do a full loop around Lacamas Lake. This new route eliminates two of the major hills from prior years and then provides for a very fast finish as you’ll run down Dallas Drive into downtown Camas with a finish right in front of Liberty Theater.

Gametiime Athlete Highlights:

  • Jonathan bested his goal time of 1:50:00 with a finishing time of 1:45:46, good for 12th place in his AG. Here is his race report.

Gametiime Athlete:
Michael Arau

Gametiime Athlete Highlights:

  • Michael got reacquainted an old friend from “The Dead Runners Society”.
  • Michael ran a strong race in typical barefoot fashion. Here is Michael’s race report.
  • Michael was previously featured in Faces of Gametiime.
