A couple Fridays ago, one of Gametiime‘s co-founders, Jon Tam, took an interview with Pam and Rochelle of “Chat with Women” on 880 AM KIXI.
It was a quick 10-minutue segment about Gametiime, how it all started, and what value we bring to the running world.
Here’s the playback, if you’d like to check it out!
So, why Chat with Women? Well, while Pam and Rochelle are new to the running world — we hope they’re reading and jump into the foray for the next 5K in Seattle! — they represent a growing community of women runners in the sport.
The number of women in running has grown from just under 2 million participants in 1990 (25% of the running market) to nearly 8 million participants in 2011 (55% of the running market). That’s an increase of about 400% over the past 20 years and the numbers continue to rise. [1]
